Asia

Probably the first continent the Diaspora spread to centuries before the large waves of emigration in the 1960s and after, this continent is largest and one of the most diverse. Even so, the Church thrives even here - from Beirut to Bangkok! The Archdiocese of Jerusalem is the only one entirely contained within the continent while other Asian countries are under the jurisdiction of the Australian dioceses. There is a number of different mission churches throughout the continent, but also thriving communities in places like the much of the Middle East, Philippines, Japan, Singapore, and others!

Ancient Archdiocese of Jerusalem, All Palestine, and All the Near East

Shepherded by H.E Bishop Antonious, this diocese is as ancient as the Coptic Church herself. Headquartered in the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, this diocese spans almost the entirety of the Middle East - including Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Jordan.

Fun fact: Jerusalem was one of the five major episcopal sees established in the ancient times - along with Alexandria, Antioch, Constantinople, and Rome.

East Asia under the Diocese of Sydney

Shepherded by H.G Bishop Daniel, this diocese spans much of Australia, but also has extensive missions into much of East Asia, specifically Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan and Korea!

Fun fact: Many of the churches in different countries hold liturgies in their respective countries' native language, meaning that the Holy liturgy is prayed in Korean, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin, and many more all over the world!
